I try to make a habit of writing a short, mainly spoiler-free review for each book I read. I don't try to summarize what the book cover or goodreads can tell you -- that's why I link to each book's goodreads page. Instead, I try to write a review I would want to read before picking up the book, like if it holds up to expectation or if there's a disappointing aspect. I don't feel the need to tell the synopsis over and over if you're just looking for an outside opinion of the book.
My reviews have grown progressively longer as I've been getting the hang of reviewing. If the reviews feel too long, there's always a TL;DR of my review at the bottom of the post that you can skip to.
I read almost exclusively Young Adult books. I read Middle Grade occasionally, but I almost never read books geared towards adults. I don't really have the attention span, to be honest. I try to write my reviews as objectively as possible, especially if I'm outside of a book's intended demographic.
